Course overview
Introduction
MA Mode Pattern Technology (Womenswear) is guided by experienced staff and resourced with industry standard equipment. The class nurtures research and develops professionals who volition influence the future of the industry.
The course is one of six which make-up the Fashion Plan. The other five courses are:
- MA Way Design Technology (Menswear);
- Graduate Diploma Manner Design Engineering;
- BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear;

- BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery.
What to expect

MA Fashion Design Technology (Womenswear) students volition develop their work, both conceptually and technically, through investigative and experimental research into a range of processes and materials. Students can access specialist facilities for manus crafted and digitized manufacturing processes inside the College's five sites. Design & Applied science

Researchers from the Digital Labs work with specialist technicians to propose and guide students to introduce in the expanse of integrated 3D Digital Pattern. Using diverse production techniques, from couture adroitness to futuristic experimentation, students are able to explore their own perspectives to form the basis of their Masters collection.

Credit Framework
The credit framework conforms to the University of the Arts London framework in which the unit of credit is xx credits (equivalent to 200 hours of educatee study time). All credits on the MA Program are at postgraduate level seven.
Arrangement of the Curriculum
The Form is divided into three 15 week blocks. The first block is 60 credits and students who successfully complete this cake are eligible for the accolade of a PG Cert. The 2nd block is a further 60 credits and students who complete blocks 1 and 2 are eligible for the award of PGDip. Dr. Nabil El-Nayal is the Course Leader and a practice-based designer, who is widely experienced in the globe of style. Afterwards completing his MA at the Purple Higher of Art, Nabil launched his RTW label NABIL NAYAL to international acclamation. Nabil was twice nominated for the LVMH Prize where he gained the support of the late Karl Lagerfeld and Amanda Harlech. Nabil has twice received the British Way Council's Fashion Trust Honor and shows during London and Paris Manner Weeks. In 2022 Nabil completed a practice-based PhD, which explored the concept of disruption as a generative principle in design leading to a body of piece of work titled Elizabethan Sportswear. Nabil's enquiry has led to collaborations with the British Library and the School of Historical Dress and has worked with organisations including IBM, Google and Selfridges. Sarah-Ann Smith trained at CSM on the PGCert form and is an experienced pattern cutter with a wealth of set up to wear industry knowledge, including six years every bit technical manager for Mary Katrantzou, Simone Rocha, Haizhen Wang and Roland Mouret.
